I received a text message on my phone this morning asking me to call a number - [removed]- to resolve a problem renewing my "Quickbooks Plan." Here is the exact message: "We haven't received payment for your Quickbooks Plan renewal as payment card on portal has not been updated or not in Service. Pls Call [removed]to renew." Anyone else getting these?
Thanks for bringing this matter to our attention, PJG1963.
I'm here to help share on how we can prevent these fraud messages from parties claiming to be affiliated with Intuit.
We send subscription renewal or any other notifications through emails, not via text messages. I suggest not initiating a call since they'll probably ask for your bank account information.
You can report this information through our email. Please browse this page for more details: Reporting fraudulent calls or emails received from parties claiming to be affiliated with Intuit. Then, choose Report tech support spam or select another option.
I'm also adding article to learn how to recognize official Intuit correspondence and websites: Identify suspicious activity, phishing scams, and potential fraud.
Don't hesitate to let me know if you have other questions about spam messages.. I'll be around to
Thank you!
