The primary administrator is deceased and the acoount has been suspended and we need to change the administrator ASAP.

We have bills to pay and can not wait a week for QBO to solve the problem. All we want is to update the payment method so the account can be reinstated and we can pay our vendors.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your previous primary admin, Isabel. I'll share guidelines you can follow to change a new primary admin.

To take full control of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, you can submit a request to be the primary admin. As the primary admin, you'll have unrestricted access to all areas of your QBO account and also oversee user management and other administrative functions.

We kindly ask for your patience if you've already submitted a request to be designated as the primary admin. Please note that you'll need to wait until you receive an email outlining the next steps.

If you're using QuickBooks Bill Pay in managing your vendor bills, you can refer to the Schedule a bill payment with QuickBooks Bill Pay section in this article to ensure that your bank account's payment method is up-to-date: Learn about QuickBooks Bill Pay for QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, you can visit these links if you want to customize each user role and assign individual permissions for specific tasks, and designate a new primary admin:

You're always welcome to post if you have further concerns about changing a primary admin in QBO. We're here to support you and ensure you have a positive experience with QuickBooks.
