Good to have you here, RiFraS56.

I can help you with opening your client's company file. You'll want your client to reset QuickBooks Admin password using the Automated Password Reset Tool so you can access the company file. Here's how:

  1. Download the Automated password reset tool.
  2. Select your version of Quickbooks Desktop.
  3. Fill in the QuickBooks license number and business info used when registering QuickBooks and select Next.
  4. Accept license agreement.
  5. Run the Automated Password Reset tool and enter the token number received via email.
  6. From the QuickBooks Desktop Products drop-down, select the same QuickBooks version.
  7. Select Browse for Company File, and then choose the company file you want to reset the password for.
  8. Important: Enter the correct Company File Admin User Name (if it's different from the name "Admin").
  9. Enter your New Password and then Confirm New Password.Note: Create a temporary password only as QuickBooks will ask you to change the password again when you open the company file.
  10. Select Reset Password to complete the process.

For more information, please refer to his article:

Using the instructions above, you should be able to access the company file using the new password: Use the Automated Password Reset Tool for QuickBooks Desktop.

Please let me know how this goes. I want to ensure this is taken care of.
