It's my priority to help you allow a user role to access the chart of accounts, DanBu.
In QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise (QBDT), accessing the user roles for the specific account in the chart of accounts is currently unavailable. However, you can choose All or none to access. Let me guide you on how to do this.
First, let's create a new custom role:
- Go to Company.
- Select Users, then click Set Up Users and Roles.
- Click the Role List tab.
- Select New, then click the + Lists and Chart of Accounts.
- Enter the name in the Role Name.
- Under the ACTIVITY ACCESS LEVEL, you can choose None, Full, or Partial to set the role's permissions.
- Click OK to save.
Next, you can add the role to the user:
- Go to Company.
- Click Users, then select Set Up Users and Roles.
- In the User List, click New.
- Type a name in the User Name.
- In the Available Roles section, select the name of the roles you created.
- Click Add.
- Select OK.
Moreover, utilize the solutions mentioned in these links to effectively manage login and restrictions, handle payroll activities, and grant permissions to access specific areas in QBDT:
If you have additional concerns regarding the managed user and roles, feel free to post them here in the Community space. Stay safe!
