We are using verison 4.4.0 of QB online. We get message the app has been discontinued. I do not believe we have the app verson on desktop. Please confirm

QuickBooks Online desktop app for Windows and Mac will be decommissioned on April 20th, 2021. Thus, you will no longer be able to download, receive customer support for, or receive software updates to the apps after this date.

 

Once your browser no longer supports your app, we recommend accessing QuickBooks Online through your preferred browser by signing in to your QuickBooks account

 

The reason behind this is that our developers are developing free apps to give users a more integrated experience for using QBO outside of the browser.

 

In the meantime, I recommend visiting our Firm of the future site. This is where we share recent happenings and future developments, such as updates to newly added features.

So what you are telling people like me, who have QBO through their accountant, is to just start logging on through my Intuit-QB account rather than using the icon on my desktop to log in?

Yes, you can access your QuickBooks Online account via a web browser rather than logging in using the icon on your desktop, James222.

 

As referenced by my peer above, the QuickBooks Online Windows and Mac desktop applications are no longer supported.

 

Due to limited use, we discontinue live support and software updates. I recommend accessing your QuickBooks Online account via a web browser to ensure your data is up-to-date and accurate.
