What reports will give me my gross revenue as well as the cost of goods sold for the last 12 months?

Good day, jessica43.  I'm here to help you get the things you want in your book.

 

We can pull the Profit and Loss report in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). This report will show your income, expense and net profit or loss over a particular period. 

 

It'll generate the information you need, which are the gross revenue and the cost of goods (COGS). Here's how to pull up the said report:

 

  1. From the main menu, click Reports.
  2. Under Company and Financial, select Profit & Loss Standard or Detail.
  3. Part of the report, we'll see the gross revenue there.

We add the special expense account for the COGS since it's associated to default one. Here are the steps to follow:

 

  1. Click the Customize button and select the Filters tab.
  2. In the search box, enter Account.
  3. We can select the Multiple accounts to add the default expense one.
  4. Click OK. Also, we'll have to make sure that the dates are correctly toggle.
