I appreciate you for reporting this issue to us, Ginny.

Printing or saving reports to PDF in QuickBooks Online (QBO) depends on the PDF viewer used. Let me lay out troubleshooting suggestions to fix this issue for Windows and Mac Operating Systems (OS).

Since Adobe Reader is the usual PDF viewer for most Windows OS, you can update your Adobe Reader. Check out the detailed instructions through this link: Install Acrobat and Reader updates

If updating Adobe Reader doesn't fix the problem, you can repair your Adobe installation. Here's how:

  1. Close Acrobat/Reader and all open web browser windows.
  2. Select the Start button at the bottom left of your screen.
  3. Type Control Panel, then press Enter.
  4. Select Programs and Features.
  5. Select Acrobat or Adobe Reader, then Uninstall/Change.
  6. In the Setup dialog box, select Next.
  7. Select Repair, then Next.
  8. Select Install.
  9. When the process is complete, select Finish.
  10. Restart your computer.
  11. Log back into QuickBooks Online, then try to print.

If you're using a Mac, first, I'd suggest updating its OS to the latest release. However, when the problem persists, and you're using third-party PDF plug-ins installed, you'll need to remove them from Safari to let its internal PDF viewer take over as the browser's default PDF handler. For this, you can collaborate with your IT expert and follow these steps:

  1. Quit Safari.
  2. Open a new Finder window. Then select the Go menu and choose Go To Folder.
  3. Type the following in the field: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/.
  4. If there are plugins named PDF Browser Plugin.pluginAdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin, or AdobePDFPDE.plugin, move them to the recycle bin or somewhere else on your system. You may need to enter your password to authorize the removal.
  5. Reopen Safari and sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  6. Try to print your document.

When this is resolved, let me add these articles as guides in customizing and saving your reports in QBO:
