Why is shopify sales tax not showing on liability report?

Welcome to the Community, Juleswiththeflow. Let me share details about the Shopify sales tax not showing on the liability report in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When integrating a third-party app like Shopify with QBO, all transaction details, such as line items and taxes were exported accurately. It's vital to ensure the sales tax data from Shopify is mapped out correctly before exporting and running the Sales Tax Liability report in QBO.

However, if you manually input the transactions in QBO, kindly review the transactions and ensure that you have checked the tax option to ensure that the transaction is taxable and will show up in your liability report.

Furthermore, you can refer to this article that discusses setting up sales tax and automatically applying it to every transaction in QBO:

Additionally, you can refer to this article to create personalized reports in QBO: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.
