Why would my authenticator code not be working? I have tried several times on several different days, but it says that wasn't right. It did let me connect my Venmo acct.

My next assumption would be it is a bank problem but wanted to ask here first.

Good day, @sydneypeet.

Can you share with me more details about your concern? How are you getting the authenticator code? Is it through email or mobile devices?

This will help us provide you with the steps to fix the issue.

Any further info would be much appreciated. Have a good one.

I am receiving the code through text messages.

I appreciate you for getting back in this thread, @sydneypeet. I'll help you get through this so you can have your authenticator code working in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

Before anything else, I'd like to share a possible reason why the code you receive through text isn't functioning. It could be that the code sent through mobile has already expired, it could also be that it has something to do with your financial firm.

To refresh the setting for your multi-factor authentication, I recommend turning it off and then turning it on again. This way, you'll receive updated authenticator code that's in sync with your QBSE account.

For more information, please see this article: Verify your QuickBooks Online account with multi-factor authentication or two-step verification.

Additionally, here's an article in case you'd like to manually add your bank transactions in QBSE: Manually add transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

The Community is open 24/7 if you need further assistance using the authenticator code. Don't hesitate to post here again. I'll be here to help you. Take care, and have a nice day!
