Any ideas on how to search the audit log for the dates of transactions within the history (versus by date changed)? This was previously possible before QB change.

We have lost a lot of functionality with the reduced audit log format. If you don't lock out time periods, someone could go back in time and change things in the past which would be very hard to catch. I don't want to lock out periods too soon, before we are done finalizing our year end for example.

You may need to use the Transaction Detail by Account instead, to sift modification activity to the top, and determine if any accounts have had several recent edits to old transactions.

1. Reports > Transaction Detail by Account

2. Choose appropriate Report period.

3. Click Customize, click Change columns.

4. Tick Create Date, Created By, Last Modified and Last Modified By.

5. Reorder columns (click and drag nine-dot grid) to put those four columns right after Date.

6. Sort by Last Modified, toggle Descending.

7. Save customization so it'll be there for next time.
