Are deposits supposed to appear in reconciliation

Yes, UNHLecturersUnited. Deposits should appear during the reconciliation process. I'm here to share additional details about this.

When reconciling in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you compare your account records with your bank and credit card statements. With this, the Reconcile window should display all cleared transactions, including deposits, for that period. It helps you verify if the system accurately reflects your real-life bank activity.

I've listed the things you need to consider to ensure all deposits show during reconciliation:

  • Verify that the deposit dates match your bank statement.
  • Make sure the deposits aren't reconciled. Review the Register page if the Check () column has an R (Reconciled, C (Cleared), or blank.
  • Ensure the deposits are categorized to the correct account.

Once you're ready to reconcile your account, I suggest checking out this article for guidance: Reconciliation workflow in QuickBooks Online.

Once you finish reconciling, QBO automatically creates a report for that period. It is handy if you have trouble reconciling the following month and when you meet with your accountant. To learn how to access this, you can browse this article: View, print, or export a reconciliation report.

The thread is always open if you have additional questions about reconciling your books or need assistance navigating the Reconcile page. You can always add the details by clicking the Reply button. I'm here to help.
