Bank Feed, past transactions

Im sure this question has been asked, I've connected my bank account but only the recent transactions have been imported. Is there any way I can do the last two year without manually importing it? I tried doing both a TXT and CSV file but apparently the format still isnt correct. If i cant automatically connect the last two years, i guess ill have to enter each one individually?

Allow me to assist you in uploading your file manually, @kylie_PAR.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) uses a 3-column and 4-column format when importing CSV files. You'll want to check your bank if they offer Quicken (QFX), QuickBooks Online (QBO), or Microsoft Money (OFX). You can pick one of these file formats to upload a file into QBO.

Once you're ready, you can manually upload bank transactions by following these steps.

  1. Go to Banking, then Banking at the top.
  2. Select the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. Tick the Update drop-down, then File upload. See image below.

For details about importing, please check out this link: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

We also have a guide on the common errors for importing bank transactions using CSV that I'm sure you'll find helpful. It has instruction that'll help you check a few things before trying again.

Bank Feed, past transactions

Hello there, @kylie_PAR.

Aside from the mention file types above, you can use the CSV file to import your transaction in QuickBooks Online (QBO)

When importing transactions in QBO using a CSV file, you'll need to follow the format by using either a 3 or 4 columns. This is to ensure that it will reflect accurately in your For Review tab.

The 3-column template has columns for the Date, a Description of the transaction, and the Amount of the transaction. While, the 4-column template has a Date column, a Description column, and both a Credit and a Debit column.

Additionally, you can manually add the bank transactions if you can't download them. There are several ways on how you can manually enter a transaction in QuickBooks Online. You can do it by clicking the + New sign, through the register, or on the transaction screen.
