Bank Feeds - My bank doesn't support IE11

My bank website no longer supports IE - any version of it. I need bank feeds to use a different browser to open my bank accounts so I can download transactions.  I went into bank feed settings, but it just says it is using IE and will not let me change it.  My bank no longer offers me to download transactions to a QBO file so without being able to use ANY of the major browsers I am in big trouble! I had a system crash and lost all of 2021 so there is no way I can manually enter thousands of transactions before my taxes are due. Please help!!

Bank Feeds - My bank doesn't support IE11

Hi there, Staci.

QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) currently works with Internet Explorer (IE) as its browser for Direct Connect in online banking. I understand the importance of being able to use another browser when doing the process. Since your bank website no longer supports IE, you can bring your bank transactions to QuickBooks manually.

If your bank doesn't offer you to download transactions to a QBO file anymore, you may look for a third-party application that can help you with the process otherwise.

It's really necessary to use any of the major browsers to bring your bank entries to QuickBooks. The good news is, our engineers are working nonstop to enhance the product to deliver the best experiences for all QuickBooks users. For now, you can submit your feedback to send your request directly to our engineering team so they can take action to help improve your experience.

Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) file.
  2. Go to the Help menu, then Send Feedback Online.
  3. Tap on Product Suggestion.
  4. Enter your feedback or suggestions.
  5. Hit the Send Feedback button.

Once done, your valuable feedback goes to our Product Development Team to help improve your QuickBooks experience.

When your bank entries are already added in QuickBooks, you can add and match them into your QuickBooks account. You can refer to this article for the detailed steps: Add and match Bank Feed transactions in QuickBooks Desktop. It contains scenarios to properly categorize your bank transactions.

If you have any other banking questions, please let me know by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Keep safe!

Bank Feeds - My bank doesn't support IE11

My small community bank doesn't offer any other options. So I am supposed to manually enter thousands of transactions? I have 9 months worth that have to be entered. There has got to be a better way! I'm on the verge of an anxiety attack!!

Which file format are you able to get from your bank? You can utilize a converter tool if required.
