Buy nowI'm getting all the banks transactions nighlty including PENDING and it's a nightmare!!! I've been on support many times with QB and my bank and they both point the finger at the other saying it's not their fault. It is supposed to be set up so that only COMPLETED transactions get downloaded from the bank to QB which is the way it's always been. Now, for example, I stop and fill up for gas and I get 3 different transactions being downloaded instead of just the one completed one like it should be. And I have to go through all of them. My accounts are so far gone after only a few months there is no way I can reconcile them because it's just to much and I know I'm making mistakes when trying to fix their mess. I am at my wits end and can't continue to spend 10 hours a week trying to figure out ONE checkbook register (I've got 3 for my businesses) because I'm being bombarded with nonsense! HELP!! Is anyone else having this issue?
Duplicates can sometimes occur when transactions automatically sync from your bank after you've already uploaded them manually. I can see how important it is for your bank transactions to download accurately to avoid duplicates. I'm here to assist you in resolving this issue, tjzbar.
Before we proceed, could you please provide the name of your bank? This information will help me investigate any potential issues between your bank and QuickBooks, even if both parties have previously confirmed that there are no problems.
QuickBooks relies on the data that your bank shares. Pending transactions shouldn't be downloaded since they haven't been fully processed yet.
In the meantime, I suggest manually excluding any duplicates that you may find in QuickBooks. Here's how you can do that:
Additionally, QuickBooks will suggest categories based on how you've previously categorized similar transactions. Check out this article for more details: Categorize Online Bank Transactions in QuickBooks Online.
You can always get back to us if you have further questions about your bank transactions. We're always here to help. Have a nice day!

The transactions included in the download are up to your bank. There's no 'pending' status in the OFX server/file structure for QuickBooks to pay attention to. Any transaction in the data from your bank is should be a real accounting transaction. Events like preauthorizations when you use a card are not actual accounting transactions and should not be present in the data.
I have been experiencing this same issue since October. I have to review all my downloaded transactions daily and compare them to what is processed in my bank account. Unfortunately, it sounds like Quickbooks doesn't want to help and nothing has changed with my bank, so I guess we get extra work now.
Reliabank Dakota is the bank I am using. I am also working with them to find a solution as QB keeps telling me it's not on their end and the bank says the same thing. The issue is still happening and I will have to find an answer or new software and a new bank because it's too much to go through all those transactions. Currently the only duplicates that are happening are when I use my card for debit and credit. Ach and checks that are written come through as they are supposed to. Hope that helps and it would be wonderful if this issue could be fixed.
