Banking Import

When I log into the QuickBooks Online Banking Feed to Add/Match/Exclude transactions the matches show up in my feed. When one of my employees logs in under their login the matches don't show up in the feed and they have to manually match the transactions. This takes forever. Is there a setting that might be set differently in my account vs hers? This started to become a problem when the import feature stopped calling it "add" and started having you call it "categorize".

Hey there, Violet1.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community about your banking concerns. This isn’t what I want for you and your employee to have when matching bank transactions.

A user with admin access will see all information in your company. They can perform all tasks in QBO compared to a Standard user. Let’s perform some basic troubleshooting steps to determine this unusual behavior in your employee’s access.

To begin, let the worker sign in to QBO using the incognito window or private browsing. This is the best place to identify any cache-related issue.

Here are the shortcut keys for each browser:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome
  • Hold Command + Shift + N for Safari
  • Hit Ctrl + Shift + P for Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

If your employee can see the matches on the Banking page, shift back to the regular browser to clear the cache. This helps the browser to fetch the latest version of the webpage and a faster browsing experience.

Aside from these steps, open the Audit Log Report. This is a built-in tool that records any additions, deletions, and modifications that have been made to your account.

Here’s how to view it:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top of your company to choose Audit Log.
  2. Click on the drop-down for Filter.
  3. Then, set the correct period and select the following: All Users and Show all events.ad br.png
  4. Click on Apply to view the changes.
  5. Then, review the transactions and hit the View link in the History column to open the audit history.

To learn more about this feature, check out this guide: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, these resources provide tips on how to manage downloaded transactions.

Thank you for your reply. We were actually able to solve the issue by filtering the feed by date and when she did one month at a time it showed the matching again.
