The way to resolve an incorrect opening balance depends on if the account is new or hasn't been reconciled before, or if you see an alert on the Reconcile page.

 

There are just a few steps to complete to fix the balance if the account is new or has never been reconciled. Here's how:

 

1. Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.

2. Select Account and Settings.

3. Find the specific account in the Chart of Accounts.

4. Choose View Register  from the Action column.

5. Verify the account's opening balance. If it's incorrect, you can edit it here and if there isn't one, this is where to enter it.
