Hello there, @betsy2,
I’ll share some information about connecting Capital One into QuickBooks Online (QBO).
In QuickBooks Online, you can connect three Capital One credit card accounts as long as they have different account numbers. You’ll have to add and connect each account through the Banking section because we are not able to connect credit cards through the Chart of Accounts.
To add and connect each credit card account, here’s how:
- From the left menu, select Banking
- On the Banking page, choose Add Account.
- Search for your financial institution and choose it from the list.
- Enter your User or Login ID and password for the financial institution website and select Continue.
- Complete the extra security verification steps your financial institution requires, and select Securely connect.
- Select the bank emblem for the account you want to connect.
- Select the Account Type drop-down menu to choose the Credit Card Account. If you haven’t already created the account, you can select +Add new to create a new account.
- Choose Connect. QBO will download the past 90 days of transactions. This could take a few minutes. If you need to download more than 90 days, see upload more than 90 days of bank transactions.
- When the download is complete, you'll be taken back to the Banking page to review and add your transactions to QBO.
I’m sure you’ll be able to add and connect your credit card accounts to QBO. Once the bank download is complete, you can add and match bank transactions through this link: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1773491.
This will get you back to your business, @Betsy. If you need further assistance about online banking concerns, please let me know. I’ll be here to help you out.
