Capital 1 MC transactions fail to download

Hello, I upgraded to 2020 QuickBooks Plus Desktop in May.  Most of the QBO files I downloaded for Jan-Apr were downloaded prior to the upgrade, but not uploaded until after the the upgrade.  I started uploading those files a couple of days ago.  Feb & March 2021 uploaded fine.  I did have to disable online banking for the account & reinitialized for that account (Capital One MC) as I have had to do for our other online banking accounts.  No problems with the rest of the accounts.  C1 MC uploaded fine for Feb & March, but the ones for APR & May indicate no transactions found!  I tried downloading the file again from Capital One, but I get the same message.  There are close to 100 transactions indicated in the CSV files but QB finds nothing.  Does anyone know what is going on?  Thanks in advance, GTClover

Capital 1 MC transactions fail to download

Utilize the trial version of this app to isolate the issue. If the same error persists, the problem is your bank.

Capital 1 MC transactions fail to download

Since I haven't gotten any replies yet & I'm wondering if the problem was in the process of downloading the transactions or uploading them, I opened one of the files in Notepad.  I'm not a programmer so I have no idea what I am seeing accept to say I see that it does contain the transactions that it should contain.  Perhaps there is some problem with the format so QB fails to read them, but there's no way for me to tell if the glitch is in the way Capital One formatted the data or the glitch is in the way QB is reading them.  I hope someone can help!

This worked!   PDF2QBO Convert converted the pdf into an acceptable format.  At first. I didn't think it had as I got what I thought was an error message:

But when I clicked ‘OK’ my transactions popped up in the usual list.  I was able to add the transaction & reconcile as usual.  So this means the problem is within QuickBooks itself, right?  The reason I’m still not sure is I converted the pdf that I downloaded from the bank to QBO using ‘PDF2QBO Convert’, but where is the file that I download from the bank ‘converted’ to .qbo  format…?  At the Bank or at the point of upload by QB?  So, it seems that I still don’t know where the problem lies.  I hope someone from Tech support chimes in soon.  I will be calling them tomorrow, but my experience wit Intuit Tech Support has not been great, however, it has been a long time since I contacted them. (that would be back when I upgraded/converted to the Windows version from OSX in 2018 of  Desktop Pro).

Just thought I'd report back that the problem has resolved.  As I reported above neither of the QBO's from Cap1 MC uploaded when I tried at 1st.  I downloaded them a 2nd time & still got the "no transactions found" message.  I then tried Fiat Lux's suggestion of using the trial version of PDF2QBO convert on the Apr MC PDF and bizarrely I got the transactions from APR & May, which I didn't understand at first so I didn't mention it here fearing I'd confuse the issue, but now I think the transactions were there all the time and that running PDF2QBO freed them up somehow.  I don't know how though, since the  PDF2QBO Convert process works on the pdf external to QB & then you upload the converted qbo as usual, so I don't know why that would affect the May transactions!  At any rate something did & when I downloaded the newly issued Jun qbo from Cap1 it loaded fine with no help from PDF2QBO.

Hopefully the problem is resolved, but I still don't know what caused the problem in the 1st place, so I'll hold off saying "SOLVED" until I see a couple of more QBOs upload without a problem.  PDF2QBO Convert seems to be quite a nice piece of software, but isn't inexpensive & for me I've already paid for the QB Upgrade, so shouldn't have to buy another piece of software to do what QB is supposed to do automatically.
