Change Expense Accounts of multiple tranactions

It seems that Quickbooks Pro forces you to either change the accounts of multiple transactions one by one taking and enormous amount of time or upgrade to the version for accountants.

Is that a correct understanding of the limitations of quickbooks pro for individual users?

Is there any work around for this problem?

Thanks,

Matt

Change Expense Accounts of multiple tranactions

I can share how you can change the accounts for multiple transactions, Matt_Moore.

You're right that you need to change the category one transaction at a time in QuickBooks Desktop Pro.

You need QuickBooks Desktop Accountant, Enterprise, or Accountant Enterprise to perform the process to multiple transactions. These versions have the Reclassify Transactions tool to help correct transactions assigned to wrong accounts.

If you want, you can upgrade your company file and use the tool. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to Windows as an admin user.
  2. If you haven't already, download your new version of QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Follow the steps to install your new version.

I'm adding this article for the next step: Upgrade your company files after you switch to a new version of QuickBooks Desktop.
