Check batch transaction will not let me type in a payee

Heavy data usage can sometimes cause errors, or it could stem from the layout under Batch Transactions, beth. Let's collaborate on some troubleshooting steps to sort this out, ensuring you can input information in your payee type.

First, we can examine your Batch Transactions layout, which includes both an old and a new version. I conducted a test on my end and confirmed that in the new layout feature, it's feasible to enter information in the payee section, whereas this functionality is absent in the old layout feature.

I've provided a screenshots for your reference.

Now, If it proves unsuccessful let’s proceed with basic browser troubleshooting to pinpoint the issue. This will not only help determine the problem but also enhance the overall performance of your browser. Afterwards, restart your browser. Following that, attempt to log in to your account using a private browser.

You can use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If you can successfully log on to the private browser, go back to the regular browser and clear your browser's cache. Otherwise, you can use another supported browser.

This guide will provide detailed instructions on how to clear your browser cache and Intuit-specific cookies to resolve issues quickly: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, this guide includes a detailed resource on using the Batch Transactions screen, providing valuable insights that you can confidently refer to in the future: Create multiple bills or expenses in QuickBooks Online Advanced.

Check batch transaction will not let me type in a payee

Same problem here. Was on the phone with tech support for an hour. Shared my screen. They could not resolve. Told me I wasn't the only one with this problem and they were adding me to a ticket and would email me updates. 3 days and still no email update. Tech support told me to access bills from the +New button only until it gets fixed.

Also, bill section completely freezes if I first try batch transactions. After I log back in and clear the cache, I can only enter bills one by one.

I thought quickbooks online was suppose to be "better" and less buggy. IT IS NOT!
