Correcting A Reconciled Journal Entry

I need to edit the description of two journal entries that have already been reconciled (1 in June and 1 in July). I would prefer to just edit the descriptions and not redo the reconciliations. If I am to make the change and it re-reconciles those items what effect will that have on the October reconciliation? Will it change the reconciliation report for June and July by making the journal entries in question reconciling items?

Thank you in advance.

Correcting A Reconciled Journal Entry

Good morning @jboschert01:

Changing the memo line will not affect your balances.  You will get a warning that the transaction has been changed, however.   But if it is just the memo words, it won't affect the bank rec at all.

Happy Friday!
