Credit cards in bank feeds

My Company has changed our credit card backer from Visa to Mastercard and now not all of the cards transfer into the bank feeds.  Is there a way to remove the old cards with no balance so that all the new ones can transfer?

Credit cards in bank feeds

Hello, Michaelg1. The reason why not all cards are transferring to the bank feed is due to how the bank categorizes them. Most business Mastercards use a parent and sub-account setup.

The parent is the main account used for payments, while the sub-accounts represent the individual cards held by your employees. When you connect to the bank, QuickBooks only sees the main parent account. If you only link that one, the individual employee cards won't show up in your feeds.

To resolve this issue, you can manually disconnect the old connection. Navigate to the List menu and choose Chart of Accounts, find the old Visa account, right-click on it, and select Make Account Inactive. This action will clear the way for the new Mastercard connection while preserving your old records.

When you connect your Mastercard account to QuickBooks, pay close attention to the login window. Ensure to check the box for each card number listed, not just the main company name. Once you have authorized the cards, link each card number to its corresponding employee sub-account in your QuickBooks Chart of Accounts.

If you still can't see the individual card options, you may need to log in directly to your bank's website. Some banks require you to allow or enable third-party sharing for each card before they will appear in QuickBooks.
