Deposits

I am trying to "mock up" a deposit. We received checks from independent employers for medical treatments. These deposits are ultimately entered by the boss from the info I provide each week. I have been hand writing the deposits but have a lot. I do not want to create new vendors since these will be "entered" by her differently later.

I just don't want to hand write deposits for a dozen small checks. Is it possible to create a deposit slip but not save it (or the temporary vendor)?

Thanks,

Deposits

Hi there, @FSvanwa.

I appreciate you reaching out to the Community. I can share some insights about creating deposits in QuickBooks.

Deposits are posting transactions, which means that it affects the balances of your accounts. If you don't want this to happen, I advise not creating it yet. You will only enter them once you're sure of its details.

I'm adding here some articles to know more and guide you in creating deposits:

That should keep you going today, FSvanwa. I'm still here to offer more assistance if you have additional questions. Just leave a comment or mention my name. Wishing you all the best!
