I installed QB Desktop 2024 yesterday it seemed to go well. Until I tried to import my qbo file from my bank. QB opens my correct bank file but does not recognize the bank file when trying to import the file it gives an option to select a bank account but mine does not show as an option there are none to choose from and the only other option is to create a new one. This happens while I am looking at the register my current bank and it is current as of the last time I imported the qbo file in QB 2021 f and it exist in my chart of accounts.
I can provide troubleshooting steps to help you import your bank data into QuickBooks, @abzon.
Since you've recently installed QuickBooks Desktop 2024, ensure your bank accounts are already set up in QuickBooks. To check, go to the Lists menu and select Chart of Accounts, then review them from the list.
If your bank accounts are listed but don't appear during the import process, troubleshoot the issue by running the Verify and Rebuild Data tools. Doing this will help us find the most common issues in a company file and fix them.
Here's how to verify your company data:
1. Close all open windows in QuickBooks.
2. Click on File, then select Utilities.
3. Choose Verify Data.
If QuickBooks detects integrity issues with your data, proceed to rebuild your company data to fix the problem.
If the problem persists, consider using QuickBooks Tool Hub to troubleshoot further.
Once you successfully import your bank files, categorize them so they appear correctly in your register.

This happens when the account credentials (bank and routing numbers for bank accounts) in the OFX file don't match the credentials from a prior OFX file that has been associated with the bank account. So, QuickBooks thinks it must belong to a different bank account.
To resolve this, edit the bank account from the chart of accounts and remove the bank feeds information that's there. Then it'll show up again to 'map' as you import a new OFX file.
