Do PayPal refunds get included in the Connect to PayPal bank feed for anyone?

I just found out that PayPal refunds do not get included in the transactions that are included in the PayPal bank feed through Connect to PayPal in QuickBooks Online. The fee reversal related to the refund I was looking at was not included either. I called QuickBooks Online support, they reviewed my set up, and I was told to enter the refund manually and report my dissatisfaction with the resolution through Feedback. When I researched this it looks like it has been an issue for some QuickBooks users since 2020. I'm curious if PayPal refund transactions have ever been included in the PayPal bank feed since July 2020 for anybody? If not, shouldn't this limitation be included in the description of the Connect to PayPal app, where it currently states that all balance impacting transactions are imported so we don't waste our time looking for a fix and just plan to manually enter PayPal refunds?  https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/bank-feeds/differences-connect-paypal...

I completely understand how inconvenient and frustrating this situation must be for you, ctcp3.

It seems that you've replied to the same concern twice, and my colleague has already added a response. If you haven't been notified of the new reply, here's the link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/banking/re-paypal-bank-interface-does-not-handle-r...

The response to that post told me to contact PayPal support, and wondered if PayPal refunds were ever included in the Connect to PayPal downloaded transactions. The information from QuickBooks says that PayPal refunds should be included in the Connect to PayPal app transactions at the QuickBooksHelp website about  "Differences between Connect to PayPal app, Sync with PayPal app, and PayPal Bank Feeds."

Transactions imported

All balance impacting transactions only

The actual fix to this issue may exist in the Settings of the Connect to PayPal app, where you can select "True" on the "Sync Hold and Reversal Transactions." I found this by searching through other responses to this question. I haven't seen whether this fixes my problem or not, but hope that it does, and that QuickBooks support will be trained to know this, because the person I spoke with looked at my settings and did not suggest changing it.

@ctcp3

You may need a 3rd party connector.

Refunds come through in the feed named something else (I had specific experience with this two months ago, when some guy in the Philippines sent us $1 using a credit card -- obvious card-testing that got through Paypal's money-laundering controls). The download showed the refund as not being a refund -- unfortunately i no longer have the record of how it came through the feed -- i think it was a withdrawal? The feed had no mention of refund. Drove me nuts when I couldn't reconcile over a f****ing dollar.
