Does anyone know if Quickbooks integrates with Texas Ethics Commission such that we can upload data directly to TEC?

Welcome to the Community, chairman-epgop-o.

 

If you are referring to authorize Intuit to act as your payroll agent in Texas (TX). Then, Texas has implemented a new Third Party Administrator (TPA) process. When setting up your new payroll service, or adding a new employee in Texas, we'll need to authorize Intuit as your payroll agent with the state. This will pay and file unemployment taxes on your behalf and update your rate. 

 

To authorize Intuit as your payroll agent, follow the steps below: 

 

  1. Go to the Texas Workforce Commission site, then select Written Authorization to Represent Employing Unit (Form C-42).
  2. Sign into your Texas Workforce Commission account.
  3. Complete the Written Authorization form and follow the instructions to submit the form to the agency. Add the following information to these fields to add Intuit as your TPA.
    • Line 8: In the Grantee Name enter
      1. If you have QuickBooks Online Payroll: PayCycle Inc.
      2. If you have QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Assisted: Computing Resources Inc.
    • Line 9: Grantee TWC Account Number- leave this field blank as it isn't required.
    • Line 9: For Grantee address enter 6884 Sierra Center PKWY., Reno, NV, 89511

 

If you are referring to Texas Ethics Commission as a third-party application, we'll need to contact their technical support. They'll provide you details about syncing and integrating the data into QuickBooks Online. If you need a third-party application to do this one, you can check out the apps that are compatible with QuickBooks at this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/. We can also do it in QBO by following the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Apps on the left side menu.
  2. Search for the app in the Find apps to streamline your work field.
  3. Look for the app that supports this feature.
