My transactions are linked to my bank so it will auto downloaded. Its showing all over my transactions have been matched which isn't true. I went through and unmatched them (theres a lot) and then of course qb crashed, and it now shows matched again.

Downloaded transactions automatically showing as matched

I'm here to share some info on how you can correct that, Kac5208.

When you download transactions, they are usually categorized as Matched if they correspond to the one you’ve entered in the account register. QuickBooks will try to pair the transactions with similar entries you created.

In this case, you may need to manually undo them if they are linked to the incorrect entry by selecting the Unmatch option. Furthermore, if you are using bank rules to automate the process, you may need to review its setup and conditions to ensure that your transactions will be properly categorized/matched. I'll show you how to do it:

  1. Go to the Banking menu, then select Downloaded Transactions.
  2. Head to the Rules section and open the appropriate bank rule.
  3. Double-check the conditions you set.
  4. Make the necessary changes, then hit Save.

In addition, make sure to keep your QBDT for Mac updated to get our latest security patches and bug fixes. This helps avoid crash issues ad unexpected behavior while working in the program. Feel free to follow the steps below:

  1. From the QuickBooks dropdown, select Check for QuickBooks Updates.
  2. If a newer version is available, click Install Update.
  3. When prompted, choose Install and Relaunch.

Downloaded transactions automatically showing as matched

Hello,

My quickbooks is updated to the latest version, although is still crashes at least twice a day.

I have unmatched my transactions, and every time i close, save my QB it doesn't save my unmatched transactions.

I have taken the steps you provided but still complications.

Its duplicating my downloaded transactions that have been matched, along with not saving the ones that were unmatched.

i did not have this problem before the update.

Downloaded transactions automatically showing as matched

Hello,

Took the steps below, and nothing is wrong with the account.

Unmatched the transactions and QB did the same thing again. Matched all the transactions even though they arent linked to any "rule" and are not in the journal register.
