Buy nowI'm getting transactions showing up in the bank feed that have already been cleared months ago. Duplicate transactions are also showing up. This started about three months ago and I have no idea why. My bank says it's QBO, not their system. I know how to exclude them but this is a huge waste of time that I don't have. How do I fix this?
Hi there, Sgray.
I'll assist you in correcting duplicate and outdated cleared transactions that still appear in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) bank feeds.
To start, could you please provide the name of your financial institution? This will help me check for any updates or maintenance that might be causing previously cleared transactions and duplicate transactions to still appear in your bank feeds.
In the meantime, I suggest disconnecting your bank account in QBO first to prevent the automatic download of transactions.
Here's how:
Rest assured, this step will not delete any transactions you have already added or matched to your books. It only clears the queue of downloaded transactions in the Pending tab.
After disconnecting and sorting out the transactions by excluding them, you can reconnect your bank account to QBO to start fresh with the transactions it downloads.
If you still have further concerns with your accounts, please let me know by adding comments below. I’ll be here to assist you.
Hello Sgray,
I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to follow up and check if the steps we provided helped resolve the issues with the duplicate and cleared transactions showing up in your bank feed.
Have you been able to fix the problem, or are you still seeing unexpected transactions? If you're still experiencing any challenges, feel free to let us know. We're here to help and provide further assistance as needed.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Thank you for following up. I see I'm not the only one with this problem. Since deleting the bank feed and reconnecting, it seems fine, but the real proof that this fixed anything is yet to be determined. The duplicate and old transactions show up around month end for some reason, so we'll see.
