Ebay payments is not importing shipping charges

Hi there, @wdwmedia-gmail-c.

Glad to see you here! I'm here to share some steps to ensure everything is working seamlessly.

Before we start, is everything else importing except the shipping charges? Knowing this would allow me to dig further into your concern specifically.

It may take a while to bring in your eBay transactions. Try periodically refreshing the page to see if it loads your shipping charges. If it doesn't work, let's try accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. Refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

If your shipping charges appear, you may have accumulated too much historical data in your browser. I recommend clearing the cache so you can access QuickBooks with a clean slate. Alternatively, you can use a different supported browser.

When everything is good, match them on your banking tab: Head to this article and proceed to Step 2Connect to eBay Managed Payments.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your response. Please come back any time you need a helping hand. We're always around to help you. Take care and have a great day!

Ebay payments is not importing shipping charges

I have the connection running for both ebay connector which runs the sales end and ebay payments which runs the other end.  The only place that shipping charges show up is under the details of the bank deposit.  However, these categories are not editable and they are also something I have to search for.

Thank you for your prompt reply, @wdwmedia-gmail-c.

Let me share some guidelines on how you can connect your eBay seller account to easily import your sales transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO).

All imported sales transactions are automatically loaded to QuickBooks as "eBay Item" by default. In your chart of accounts, this good or service corresponds to a certain income account. To modify the account that an eBay item is assigned to:

  1. Go to the Get paid & pay or Sales. Then, select the Products and services tab.
  2. Search eBay Item in the Find products and services field.
  3. Select Edit under the Action column.
  4. In the Income account dropdown menu, choose the income account you want eBay sales to record.
  5. Click Save and close.

Ebay payments is not importing shipping charges

Let's find out why the eBay shipping fee isn't showing as an expense so we'll know what to do, wdwmedia.

May I know how did you try to record the shipping fee? In QuickBooks Online (QBO), any transactions entered as an expense or income should show on the banking page provided it's connected to your bank. You'll want to reach out to the eBay support team to help you double-check with the setup. In the meantime, you can exclude the shipping charge if it's posted to the incorrect account. To do this, you can follow the step below:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then select Banking (Take me there).
  2. Select the For Review tab.
  3. Select the checkbox of the transactions to exclude.
  4. Select Exclude.

Once corrected, you can import the transactions. On the other hand, learn how to add and match your bank transactions after they are downloaded from your bank. To give you more details on how this works, I've added this article for your guide: Categorize and Match Online Bank Transactions In QuickBooks Online.

Drop a reply below if you have any questions about the eBay shipping charges. We're always right here to assist you further.

Ebay payments is not importing shipping charges

It is coming in under ebay payments as part of the deposit.  It should be split into income and expenses but it is not.  The is a book keeping issue.  Not an ebay issue.  Please do not suggest passing the buck again.
