File will not import freelance

Hello, @kevin.

Allow me to share some insights about importing in QuickBooks Self-employed (QBSE).

Are you referring to importing bank transactions in QBSE? If so, I recommend using a CSV file to manually upload those transactions into QuickBooks. Moreover, make sure that the CSV file you're trying to upload is formatted correctly. QuickBooks Self-employed has specific requirements for CSV files, such as column headers and data structure. Ensure that the file follows these guidelines to guarantee a successful upload. We only need the basic information about your transactions in the CSV file, which is the date, description, and amount.

Check out the 3-column format section of this article: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks. This guide is intended for QBO but the formatting can still be applied to QBSE.

Next, verify that the file size is within the permissible limit. QuickBooks Self-Employed has a maximum size limit for CSV uploads, and exceeding this limitation can result in upload failures. Note that the files should be less than 100kb. If they're too large, consider splitting them into smaller chunks or compressing them before attempting to upload.

If you've already met the CSV format, you can try importing it again using other supported browsers or an incognito window to isolate the issue further.

On the other hand, if you're importing other data, I recommend adding additional information below. This way, I'll be able to provide more targeted solutions. I'll include these articles to help manage your bank transactions:
