First Horizon started transmitting the transaction description instead of transaction detail into QBO, which is zero help at all (so all that comes over to QBO are ACH CREDIT RECEIVED, MISCELLANEOUS DEBIT, ACH CREDIT RECEIVED.). Is there any way to correct this to show the transaction details, which has all the info that normally comes across in a bank feed?
Thank you for reaching out to us, @Sarah_buildyourbooks.
The bank transactions that are showing here in QBO depend on what your bank institution has shared with us.
Let's work together to sort this out. We can check the settings of your bank transactions to see if the show bank details option is checked to view your transaction details. Here's how:
I've attached a screenshot for your visual reference.
If the banking details aren't still showing, I have a workaround for you. You can edit the transaction through Memo option instead. Here's how:
Additionally, you can visit this page if you want to exclude a bank transaction you downloaded in QuickBooks Online and upload the specific transaction manually to your QuickBooks Online account.
Add a comment if you still have queries about your transaction details. I'd love to help you.
I have bank details on in the settings. This isn't an issue of not knowing how QBO works. It's a problem that First Horizon started transmitting the transaction description instead of transaction detail.
We now have to login to First Horizon to get the transaction details, and it would be quicker to simply download the csv from first horizon and upload into QBO with the correct details, rather than manually enter details into the memo line.
There is a mapping issue that came up when First Horizon did their Business account update on 11/12/24. QBO Support needs to map the field for Bank Detail to pull from Transaction Detail and not Transaction Description field from First Horizon
