First time bank feed connection, entered wrong date

I connected to my bank and was able to pull a number of transactions.  But I did not pull all of them, I think because I used a more recent date.  The ones I pulled are newer.  How can I change the dates to get the older ones too?  The account was opened this year, but more than 3 months ago.

First time bank feed connection, entered wrong date

Hello there, @j45780.

It's great that you connected your bank account to QuickBooks Online (QBO). Although some financial institutions have limitations on the transactions that can be downloaded, I've got you covered. I'd be happy to help.

While some banks offer transactions up to 90 days old, others may only allow 30 days. With this, you can manually upload your transactions into QBO.

Before we start, ensure you know the date of the oldest existing transactions of your current account to avoid duplicates. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Settings menu, then select Chart of accounts.
  2. Choose the account you want to upload the transactions to and click View register.
  3. Find and write down the date of the oldest transaction. The oldest transaction is usually the opening balance.

Once you have the CSV files of your transactions from your bank and have reviewed the file format and size, I'll show you how to upload them:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu and choose Bank Transactions.
  2. Select the account you want to upload the transactions.
  3. Drag and drop or select files and choose the file you downloaded from your bank. Then, click Continue.
  4. In the QuickBooks account▼ dropdown, select the account. Then, select Continue.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then tap Continue.
  6. Choose the transactions and click Continue.
  7. Click Yes and Done.

If you encountered errors while doing the process, here’s how you can fix errors when you upload transactions.

Uploading transactions can take some time, but well worth the effort to make sure your books are accurate.
