Help with Mac and QB online

Does anyone know how to use a Mac with QuickBooks online?  The TechTeam and customer service at QuickBooks has no idea what they’re doing and I’m hoping that somebody else out there can get me straightened out. The issue I’m having is uploading older transactions manually. QuickBooks gives directions that don’t match up and aren’t accurate and their tech team has no idea what to do.

What types of data have you prepared for import?

I am trying to upload the CSV file manually to have my older transactions imported and what QB has provided as directions are not accurate and the uploading does not work.  It is all wrong.

You can use a 3rd party tool to convert your bank statement in CSV format to QBO and then import it.

I'll take that you log in to your QuickBooks Online account on a Mac computer, atarsio23,

I can walk you through the process of adding CSV files to your QuickBooks account. Let me guide you on how to do so:

  1. From the Banking tab, select Banking.
  2. Select the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. On the Link account drop-down, select Upload from file.
  4. Select Drag and drop or select files and then select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then select Continue.
  5. In the QuickBooks account dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Select Continue.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns.
  7. Select the transactions you would like to import. Then select Continue.
  8. Click Yes and then Done.

Afterward, you can categorize to put them in the correct accounts. Here are references as your guide:

You can always drop a reply whenever you need help with the process or with the categorization process.

Unfortunately what you described doesn’t appear in my QB version. That is the problem. QB doesn’t have a clue about what their directions say vs what it’s actually on the online desktop version. That’s why I keep saying as loud as I can all of this is wrong information.

Again. None is correct. The 3rd party system Doesn’t work with the upload to the account. Every aspect of the directions I have been given are either flat out wrong or do not make sense.

None of this is true.

I'm here to help and ensure that your questions are addressed accordingly, atarsio23.

For me to be able to provide you with the right issue resolution, could you please tell me which version of QuickBooks you're having a problem with? Are you trying to upload transactions to your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac or the online version?

Also, what directions are wrong you referring to? It would be best if you can send me a screenshot as well.

Any additional information would be highly appreciated.

Hope you can respond to me on this thread so we can work with your concern together, atarsio23. Please know I'm ready to assist further. Have a good one.
