Hi, The credit card account that i have added in QB, the updation of transactions gets stuck every few days

I can help you get your bank transactions to be downloaded, preeti-tanush.

QuickBooks automatically downloads new transactions nightly around 10 PM PST. It's possible that there's an interruption in your bank that's why transactions don't download available ones. We can do a manual download and then filter the list to verify if transactions downloaded as expected.

Here's how to do a manual download:

  1. Log in to Quickbooks Online.
  2. From the left menu, click Banking or Transactions. Then, Banking
  3. Click the bank and at the upper-right, click Update
  4. Use the Filter option in the For Review tab to further check the downloaded transactions.

Once they're available in your bank feeds, you can categorize and match them. Then, reconcile the account.

Feel free to mention me in your reply if there's anything else that you need. You take care and have a good one!

Hi, The credit card account that i have added in QB, the updation of transactions gets stuck every few days

Thanks for the additional details and prompt reply, @preeti-tanush.

I also appreciate you for going through the steps shared by my colleague above. Can you share with me the name of your banking institution? This way, I’ll be able to check here on my end and verify if there are any reported issues. Any additional information will be much appreciated.

Additionally, I’d suggest contacting your financial institution and verify if there are issues or on going maintenance on their end. Thus, it could be the reason why you're unable to update your bank transactions.

In the meantime, let’s manually upload your bank transactions to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. I’d be glad to guide you how:

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card’s website and follow the instruction on how to download the transactions.
  2. Review the file format and file size (350KB).
    • Comma-Separated Values (CSV)
    • QuickBooks Online (QBO)
    • Quicken (QFX)
  3. Then go to the Banking or Transactions menu in your QBO account.
  4. Select the bank account you want to upload the transactions into.
  5. Click the Update drop-down list and select File upload.

You can also check this article that can walk you through the complete process: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

On top of this, I'm attaching this resource that can guide you in reconciling your accounts accurately in the future: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with your banking feeds. I’ll be around ready to help you. Keep safe and take care.
