How can I upload bank transactions from the previous year?

Hi there, @magnoliaplumbing.

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the QuickBooks Community for support. I hope you're enjoying your Friday so far.

With QuickBooks Online, the system will only download the last 90 days of transactions. However, you can manually import data beyond the time limit. I've included some steps below to walk you through the process.

  1. Go to the Banking menu and select Banking.
  2. Choose File upload from the Update drop-down. You can also click on Upload transactions manually.
  3. Hit Browse and pick the downloaded file.
  4. Tap Next.
  5. From the QuickBooks account drop-down list, choose the account to which to upload the bank transactions and select Next.
    • If you're using a CSV file, follow the prompt to select columns from the CSV file that match QuickBooks Online banking fields. Another option is through the Import Data page. To do so, click the Gear icon, hit Import Data, then hit Bank Data.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Select Let's go! or Finish.

That's all there is to it. You can see additional details about this process in Manually upload transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I'm always around to lend a hand. Take care and enjoy the weekend, magnoliaplumbing!

Another option, utilize MT Online. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed.
