Most of the banks let you download the last 90 days of transactions when syncing your account in QBO. Others can go back as far as 24 months.
For transactions that are beyond this period, you can ask for or download a CSV copy from your bank's website. Then, import it in QBO to get them into your account.
Follow these steps on how to do it:
- Go to the Transactions menu and select Bank transactions.
- Select the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
- Click the drop-down list for Link account, then select Upload from file.
- Select Drag and drop or select files and select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then click Continue.
- In the QuickBooks account ▼ dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then select Continue.
- Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then click Continue.
- Select the transactions you would like to import and select Continue.
- Click Yes.
- When you accept your transactions, select Done.
