How do I completely remove a checking account that I didn’t need to add in the first place? I unlinked it and disabled it but I still have the transactions

I want to remove the transactions and any trace of the accounts

How do I completely remove a checking account that I didn’t need to add in the first place? I unlinked it and disabled it but I still have the transactions

We can delete your transaction in the Chart of Accounts, Miller.

 

Before doing so, please ensure your checking account is disconnected in QuickBooks.

 

To fully remove it, you can set it to Make inactive in the View Register tab.

Here's the process for deleting your transactions.

 

  1. Navigate to Settings and click on Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate the transaction you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete to complete.
