How do I completely remove a checking account that I didn’t need to add in the first place? I unlinked it and disabled it but I still have the transactions

I want to remove the transactions and any trace of the accounts

We can exclude the transactions linked to that checking account, so that the transactions will be removed, Miller.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu and select Bank transactions.
  2. Go to the For Review tab.
  3. Mark the checkboxes next to the transactions you want to exclude.
  4. Click Exclude to remove them from the list.

Please also note that unlinking your checking account won't simply remove the transactions under that account, it will only be removed in the For review tab.

For more details on excluding transactions in QuickBooks Online(QBO), please refer to this article: Exclude a bank transaction you downloaded into QuickBooks Online.

Please reply to the forum if you have additional questions regarding excluding your transactions.
