Hello there, kathpope.

I'll ensure you'll be able to disconnect your old bank account in QuickBooks Online(QBO).

Your existing accounting data will not be affected when disconnecting your bank account from QBO. Please make sure there are no pending transactions in the For Review tab before proceeding. I'll show you how to do it.

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
  2. Select Banking.
  3. Locate the bank account you want to disconnect.
  4. Click the Edit pencil icon, then choose Edit account info.
  5. Checkmark the box Disconnect this account on save.
  6. Once done, hit Save and Close.

For more detailed information, I've included this article: Disconnect or delete accounts connected to online banking.

For future reference, you might want to look into the following resources for further information on how to handle downloaded bank transactions:

Stay in touch if you need further assistance with banking. I'm always glad to help you.
