Buy now & saveMy QuickBooks is linked to my bank account, but the transactions only go back to January 01, 2025. I called my bank and they told me to download the previous statements I need back to August 01, 2023. Once I email them to my QuickBooks account, how do I link them to reconcile the bank transactions?
You'll have to manually upload your bank transaction before you can match and reconcile them, @info2106. Let me discuss this further below.
To start, if you don't yet have your bank transactions from August 1, 2023, you can download them from your bank's website. Follow your bank's instructions on how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer.
Once you have the file, you can now import your bank statement into QuickBooks Online.
Here's how:
If an error message occurs, you can visit this article on how to fix this: fix errors when you upload transactions.
After successfully importing your August 01, 2023, transactions, you can now match your transaction and after matching you can now reconcile your account to ensure that your financial records in QuickBooks match your bank statements.
