Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community, Frustratedlongtimecustomer. I'll be sharing details about Purchase in QuickBooks Online. Then, to ensure you can achieve your goal by performing an alternative way. Beforehand, please know that QuickBooks is constantly changing and evolving based largely on the requests of users.  I'll also make sure you can send feedback so our product developers can consider adding the feature in the next updates.

Importing purchase orders in QuickBooks Online is currently unavailable. You'd want to manually enter your purchase orders in QuickBooks and record the details using the built-in format. However, QuickBooks can integrate with hundreds of apps that allow you to import purchases in QBO. With this, I recommend going to the Apps menu.

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to the Apps menu.
  3. Enter "Import Purchase Order " in the Search for an app field.
  4. If you have found the app you're looking for, just click Get App Now.

Additionally, since the option of being able to import purchase orders isn't possible, I encourage you to submit feedback. These requests and suggestions are forwarded to the Product Development Team for consideration in the future. To do that, you'll have to log in to your QuickBooks Online account and go to the Gear icon and click Feedback.

You may refer to this article to view details on how you can record PO as a bill or expense in QuickBooks after a vendor accepts the PO: Add purchase orders to expenses, bills, or checks in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if there's anything else you need help with managing your PO entries. Know that I'm always here to help you anytime. Take care and keep safe!
