How do I link my credit card account in QB with my issuer. I cannot find the Link button at all, even though it is there for bank accounts, not credit card accounts.

I recently moved from desktop to online QB mainly because QB demands a ransom for my desktop  even though I had fully paid when I bought it. The data transfer was smooth, but I cannot link  my cc acount to my issuer to download new transactions.

Hello there, @SSWAMY.

I acknowledge the importance of seamlessly connecting your credit card account with your issuer to manage your transactions efficiently. Rest assured, I'm here to share information to resolve your concern.

If you haven't seen the Link button, you can enter and select the URL or name of your bank in the Search field. If you can’t find your credit card, you can manually upload transactions instead.

Can you also inform me about the financial institution you are using? Any additional information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. This way, I can offer you precise steps and accurate information to resolve this matter.

Once done, you can review and categorize the downloaded bank transactions to ensure they are accurately categorized. This helps you maintain precise organization within your charts of accounts.

Keep in touch if you have further queries about linking your credit card account to QBO. I'm here to assist you in effectively managing your bank account.

This thing is most bizarre. My company has a checking and a saving account with a bank.

It also has a Capital One credit card. I was using QB desktop until your company said that I needed to pay $600.00 per year for the privilege of linking. I switched to QB online two months ago. The data migration was painless and all by accounts including the Capital One account migrated to QB Online. When I went to Chart of accounts  it showed ALL the accounts and I could see the old transactions in individual registers. I went to the transactions menu I saw only the checking and saving account, not the credit card account. The Checking and Savings linked with no hassle. But then, there is no link button do the same with Capital One. Its NOT THERE anywhere. Isn't that bizarre? I now seem to have to manually enter all credit card transactions. I might as well keep them in Excel instead of using QB!

Hi there, SSWAMY.I recognize the importance of connecting your bank account to get you going with managing transactions.

Upon checking here, I found an ongoing investigation regarding Capital One accounts won't connect. Our engineers are already trying to find a resolution to this.

For now, I recommend contacting our customer support team so they can add you to the list of affected users and receive email updates about the ongoing investigation.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Click the Help button at the top right corner.
  3. Go to the Search tab, then select Contact Us.
  4. Enter a brief discussion of your concern, then click Continue.
  5. Choose to Have us call you to connect with us.

Our customer support schedule for Plus, Essentials, and Simple Start users is from Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 6 PM PT, and Saturdays from 6 AM to 3 PM PT. If you are using the Advanced version, assistance is accessible 24/7.

I'll also share an article to help you combine transactions so your records match your real-life bank deposit: Record and make bank deposits in QuickBooks Online.

I appreciate your patience while we're working on this. Comment below if you still have questions about linking your credit card account. I'll be here to assist.

I have mentioned this is in my earlier post. The CC account can be viewed in the Chart of Accounts, but not in the list of accounts in the Transactions menu. So I cannot even manually import CC transactions. Thus it may be more than just a linking issue. This and other annoying/debilitating glitches makes me wonder if the Online version that I have is a not-ready-for-primetime release.
