I'm here to ensure you'll succeed in importing your data, mecongtrade3.

That seems weird. Normally, you should be able to upload those trips since it's below 100 kilobytes. It could be that the file was corrupted causing this runtime error in the program.

To rule it out, let's download a new or fresh copy of the CSV.  Alternatively, we can split it into smaller parts and then bring them in separately. Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to the Miles menu.
  2. Click the Add trip drop-down menu.
  3. Choose Import MileIQ Trips or Import Google Trips.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

If the same thing happens, I recommend performing some basic troubleshooting steps. There are times that the accumulated site data prevents QBSE from working properly. To get started, open your account using an incognito or private window. These are the shortcut keys:

  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If the error is now gone, go back to your regular browser. Then, clear the site data to remove the junk/temporary files. Switching to other supported browsers can help rectify the problem too.

Finally, I've added an article that you can read to learn what to do if you run into challenges tracking your work trips on your phone: Fix mileage issues in QuickBooks Self-Employed for Android.
