I appreciate you for choosing QuickBooks to track your transactions, kw1photog. I understand how challenging it is when you can't clear your check. I'm here to help you with that.

You can mark the check as cleared by clicking on the ✓ column until it shows blank or C. I'll show you how:

  1. Navigate to the Accounting tab and then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account and click View register.
  3. Select the transaction you want to mark as cleared.
  4. On the  column, click the box until it shows blank or C.
  5. Once done, click Save.

If the option is grayed out, I'd suggest accessing your QuickBooks Online account via a private browser. This is a good place to determine if this is a browser-related issue.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

Once logged in, mark the transactions as cleared. If it does, let's clear the browser's cache. This removes its stored files to ensure the program performs efficiently.

If private browsing doesn't work, I'd recommend using other supported browsers. They'll provide the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks.

Additionally, I've included an article that'll help you match your QuickBooks accounts to your bank and credit card statements. This ensures your books are accurate: Reconcile.

I'm only a few clicks away if you need assistance with your other QuickBooks tasks, kw1photog. It's always my pleasure to help you out again.
