How do I manually upload a CSV to a Credit Card account in my chart of accounts that is not a linked account? Can I do it from the Chart of Accounts?

Only the CC payments are shown in the Transaction list, I would like to manually add the transactions from a CC by importing a CSV.

You can use an importer tool

another option, csv2qbo converter tool. It's a $60 one time license.

We can manually import a CSV file only in the Banking page, Oepflanagan. Let me walk you through the steps for a seamless process.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Click the dropdown menu next to the Link account and choose Upload from file.
  3. Select or drag the CSV file and click Continue.
  4. Select the Credit Card account, then hit Continue.
  5. Review the file format to match it with the correct fields in QuickBooks, then select Continue.
  6. Choose the transactions you want to import. Then hit Continue.
  7. Click Yes.
  8. Once the import is complete, click Done.

For more detailed information from the steps above you may refer to this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

The transactions you uploaded won't show up in the Credit Card account's register right away. First, we need to categorize them before they appear in the register.

Let's go back to the banking page. If you don't see the Credit Card account, we need to switch to the appropriate account to start categorizing.

Please follow the steps below:

  1. In the Bank transactions, select the account dropdown.
  2. Choose the Credit Card account.

Now that the transactions are uploaded, you can start categorizing them by either matching or adding them directly.
