I'm glad to help you remove your card from online banking, bwomack-redvolut.

You can turn off the bank connections to stop QuickBooks from downloading transactions.  Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks Self-Employed in a web browser.
  2. Select the profile ⚙ icon and then Bank Accounts.
  3. Find the account you want to hide.
  4. In the Show Account section, select the toggle to OFF.

All of your data is still there, you just won't see the transactions anymore. To make the account active again, repeat the steps, and select the toggle to ON.

If you want to add transactions but keep the account hidden, you can manually add oimport them with a CSV file.

Stay in touch with me by commenting below if you have additional questions about removing your card. I'm always right here to guide you through the steps.

This really didn't work - I don't see any new transactions from the card, but now I can't see any data. I am going to do my taxes and stuff and want that historical data because I was using a personal card before eventually switching everything over to business.

I appreciate you for keeping us updated, @bwomack-redvolut.

When you hide/remove accounts, QuickBooks from downloading new transactions, and you keep all the existing data.

Since you're unable to see data after removing it, let's sort things out by performing some basic troubleshooting procedures.

To begin, kindly log in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed company using an incognito page. Here are the shortcut keys to open it:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

If you're able to already see the missing data with no issue, then you'll have to clear your browser cache regularly
