How do i view inactive accounts

It's my pleasure to guide restoring an inactive account in QBO, @ lilydoc41.

In activating your accounts again, we need to make sure that the Include inactive option is enabled to show inactive accounts in the Chart of Accounts. Also, keep in mind that QuickBooks won't add transactions back to the account or edit any journal entries it made to balance your accounts.

To activate your accounts, follow the steps below:

  1. On the left panel, click Transactions and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Above the Action column, click the Settings option (small gear icon).
  3. Put a checkmark in the Include inactive box.
  4. Look for the inactive account, and click Make Active.

To help you organize your chart of accounts, you can visit the following articles. Make An Account Inactive On Your Chart Of Accounts In QuickBooks Online.

Apart from this, learn how you can compare each transaction with the ones entered into QuickBooks. Go through this article so you'll be guided on how to reconcile an account:  Reconcile An Account In QuickBooks Online.

Don't hesitate to leave a comment below if you have other concerns or follow-up questions about activating accounts in QBO. I'll be around to provide further assistance.
