I've got the steps you'll need to bring in past bank transactions in QuickBooks Online, crystalhealthysk.
When you first connect your account, QBO downloads the last 90 days of transactions. If you need more than 90 days, you can get those transactions using our WebConnect feature. You can go to your bank's website and follow the instructions on how to download them. I've listed our supported file formats below:
- Comma-Separated Values (CSV)
- QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Quicken (QFX)
Here are the steps in uploading the file:
- Go to Banking from the left menu, then click the Banking tab.
- Select the Upload transactions button.
- Click Browse, then choose the file you downloaded from your bank.
- Select the account you want to upload the transactions into from the QuickBooks account ▼ drop-down menu, then select Next.
- Follow the on-screen instructions, then click Next.
- When you’re ready, click on Let's go.
Once done, you can go to the Banking menu to match and categorize them.
Also, I've added this article to ensure your bank is accurate and no duplicates: Reconcile transactions that are older than your opening balance in QuickBooks Online.
I'll be right here to help if you have any other concerns or questions about banking.
