How to Remove last reconcile and start over?

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, @jdj6268-outlook-. I'm here to help remove the last reconciled transaction so you can start over.

Before we begin, let me first share information on how you can perform the task.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), there are several ways to remove previously reconciled transactions. If you want to remove the entire reconciliation to start over, you'll have to reach out to your accountant. They use the QBO Accountant version which gives them that specific option.

On the other hand, you manually remove or undo the previous reconciliation by going to the bank register. This process will delete or zero out the beginning balance. Here's how:

  1. In your QBO account, navigate to the Accounting menu.
  2. Next, select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find the account where the transactions are allocated and click View register.
  4. Once opened, check the transaction you need to unreconciled.
  5. Continuously click the box with "R" until it shows blank. This will remove the transaction from the reconciliation.
  6. Once done, select Save.

For your reference, feel free to check this article: Undo or remove transactions from reconciliations in QuickBooks Online

When finished, you can now start reconciling your account again.

Once done, the program will automatically generate a report for the session that you can use as a reference in the future.

I'd love to know updates on how the steps go. If you have additional questions remove reconciled transaction in QBO, and feel free to leave a reply below. I'm always around to help. Have a good day and take care.
