How to review Unlinked Receipts in Attach a File?

My new client uses the QBO app to snap his receipts. They don't show up on the Receipts screen at all. There are 0 receipts reviewed or pending review.

When I add a transaction (he's using Simple Start) and click Attach a File from existing, a sidebar on the right-hand side of the screen pops up with Unlinked Receipts. They go back years. The only identifying information in this list is the date. The only way to determine which receipt to attach is to download all of them (no thanks).

Where are these receipts hiding? They have to be accessible from somewhere within QBO.  I would like to review and attach them to transactions without downloading them all. Thank you.

How to review Unlinked Receipts in Attach a File?

I got you, @Christina729.

I'll walk you through how to attach receipts in a transaction in QuickBooks Online.

I'll take you to the Banking section and link the receipts there. Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Banking, then select Receipts.
  2. In the For Review tab, you can review your uploaded receipts. QuickBooks lets you know if it finds existing transactions in your books that match your uploaded file.
  3. Check the labels in the Action column to find out what steps you need to take next.

Follow this article for more information: Upload your receipts to QuickBooks Online.

As always, feel free to visit our QuickBooks Community help website if you need tips and related articles in the future.

Thanks for writing here again, @Christina729. I'm always here to support you along the way. Keep safe.

How to review Unlinked Receipts in Attach a File?

There aren't any files there. They are still in the sidebar, but not in the For Review or Reviewed tabs.

Thanks for getting back to this thread, Christina729.

I want to ensure your concern about unlinked receipts gets sorted. Thus, I have to ask for more details on what you’re experiencing to get me on the same page.

May I ask for a screenshot of the sidebar page you're referring to? Any further details would be much appreciated to help me narrow down this issue.

I'd appreciate any additional details you can provide. I'll be keeping an eye out for your response on this. Have a great day!
