Welcome to the Community, Debbie.
Let me assist with locating the transaction you had manually attached a receipt to in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).
If you have uploaded a snapshot of your receipt, the application inputs the information for you after scanning it. Also, it might take a short while. When the upload is complete:
- Go to the Transactions menu from the left panel.
- Look for the receipt.
- Select the receipt and categorize it.
Since you encountered the Needs action message, you can select it to review your transaction. Correct any details and ensure that you entered the correct information such as the Date, Amount, and Vendor from what is entered in QBSE. Lastly, select Save.
Moreover, I included this article for more details: Record or attach expense receipts in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
If the issue persists, I recommend performing browser troubleshooting steps. This way, we can eliminate common errors that prevent you from using the application seamlessly.
To start, we can launch the website in a private or incognito browser. Your browsing history won't be saved in this mode, which also aids in isolating any website problems.
Then proceed with clearing your computer cache. It is to keep this from happening again. You can also opt for other supported browsers if you have one.
Feel free to post here if you have more questions about receipts. The Community always has your back. Have a good one!
